Build an undefeated NFL roster
Instead of filling player names, you’ll identify the row and column teams that make the completed grid valid.
Reverse Immaculate flips the classic Iron Grid format. You are shown player combinations and must infer the correct team headers from football knowledge, memory, and deduction.
Tap a row or column header and pick the team you believe fits that header. You get instant feedback.
You have three strikes. A perfect run solves all six headers.
Each player sits at the intersection of one row team and one column team. Start with a player whose team history you know. A candidate row team needs to fit all three players in that row; check the same way down a column before submitting its header.
Suppose one player has two possible teams in his history. Check the other two names in his row to see which team they share. Then use his remaining team connection to help work out the column. Short team stints and franchise name changes can make a familiar player harder to place.
In Iron Grid, the row and column categories are supplied. You choose nine different NFL players who fit the intersections, and rarer answers earn more points.
How is this different from an immaculate grid? The player cells are already supplied. Your job is to reverse the normal process and identify the team labels that make every intersection valid.
How many mistakes are allowed? You have three strikes for the daily puzzle. Solve all six row and column headers before reaching the strike limit to complete the grid.
